A terrific wedding proposal video to share. I love the “Yes or No” checkbox at the end!

Once again my friends over at Staggered provided the heads-up for this video from a Michigan bridal shop. I wonder if she’ll submit this footage for a Bridezilla audition?
The title is actually “Very Funny Jewish Wedding,” but the humor of this wedding video transcends any cultural stereotypes. Now talk about a way to make formal posed group photographs a more lively experience!
Enjoy your Tuesday
The downside to naming my wedding video feature “Tubesday” is that I feel obligated to wait until an actual Tuesday to post videos. So occasionally a video reaches critical mass or otherwise catches my attention on a Wednesday. Everyone blogs and twitters and otherwise makes lots of noise about it on Thursday. It continues through the weekend. The commotion finally settles. By Tuesday.
And so it is with today’s feature about the cheap wedding photographer and Judge Joe Brown:
Here’s what I think:
- The photographer makes my skin crawl.
- I have sympathy for the plaintiff.
- I also think it’s possible the photographer fulfilled the agreement.
Wha…?
While one can certainly take fantastic images with entry-level camera equipment (as well as “toy” cameras, etc) under certain conditions, the wide-ranging demands of a typical wedding require professionally-spec’d gear as well as skill from the photographer. Unfortunately, opting for the low-end “pro” usually means opting for their inferior gear as well. And a low price point makes it tougher for a cheap wedding photographer to afford insurance, training, and all of the other things which make or break a professional.
If the agreed price lies in the range I imagine, I argue that perhaps the photographer could have fulfilled the agreement. The video doesn’t present much actual proof of anything substantive, apart from the photos.
Be wise, don’t be a victim.
Wedding Videos on Youtube: You are the Apple of my iPhone
Being a fan of all things Apple (although I must confess I type these words on my PC laptop), a recent Youtube wedding video caught my attention: a couple and their friends crash an Apple store, flash-mob style, for a quick ceremony. It’s not particularly attractive or visually interesting as a wedding video, but for reference:
A slightly more upscale version of the recent recession-inspired trend of Wal-mart weddings, I suppose.
Doing a bit of digging I discovered that the Apple store has been bringing people together for some time now. In this marriage proposal from nearly three years ago, the guy popped the question after they waited in line for several hours throughout the night.
And someone’s even been blogging about finding love in the land of iMacs and iPods and other iThings.
Turns out Steve Jobs has been quite useful to marriage-minded couples. One guy used his iPhone to recite his wedding vows (not sure I’d recommend this, guys):
And there’s even an iPhone app for wedding planning.
And of course I’d be remiss if I forgot to include mention of the iPhone wedding cake.
Are you a gadget guy or gal? How much do you love your toys, and will they influence your plans or the look of your big day?

Youtube Wedding Video: Jeff and Erin’s epic trailer
Although not quite practical as a wedding invitation, due to some key missing information (see this couple’s video for a masterful wedding invitation), Jeff and Erin have certainly raised the bar for cheesy wedding videos.

Youtube Wedding Video: Melissa and Allan’s album
I put finishing touches on the 18″ sample album just before Christmas and am pleased to present it to the world via Youtube and this blog. I promise this will be the last self-promoting Tubesday post for the time being!
18x10-inch Queensberry handmade album in black pearl silk with photographic cover motif, 30 ivory pages with black mats. The size of the video does not do the book justice. Contact me to see the real thing when it arrives in February.

Youtube Wedding Video: Ronnie & Matthew’s Album
Another wedding album layout for this week’s Tubesday: 9x9-inches square, 10 sides, with a moss-green leather embossed cover. No, the 9″ album doesn’t correlate to an album package offering. Yet. Stay tuned!
The book will take a bit of time for Queensberry to build, but I hope to have it in time for February.
